This summer, our team member Jakub Jaworski had an opportunity to complete a summer internship at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) in Garching at the Attoworld Group led by Prof. Ferenc Krausz. He worked on a project named “Multi-stage spectral broadening: Towards the generation of single-cycle pulses from a Cr:ZnS laser amplifier” under the supervision of Dr. Alexander Weigel. During his time there, he worked alongside leading researchers and gained valuable experience in the field. We are excited to see how this experience shapes his future contributions to our team!
This internship is a part of a larger collaboration between the u.MIR and the Group of Prof. Ferenc Krausz at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPQ). In Wroclaw we develop stabilized mid-IR lasers, which are subsequently employed for field-resolved spectroscopy towards cancer diagnosis. The collaboration is partially realized within Max Planck Partner Group Programme.
