Today we celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first laser fired by Ted Maiman on 16th May 1960!
At Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, which is the Institute that we closely work with within Max Planck Partner Group Programme, Ione can see the very first laser build by Theodor Maiman. Next to the ruby laser, there is his labbook with notes from that historic day, which gave birth to our never-ending adventures with coherent light.
