Last week (7-11.07.2025) our group members were involved in OPTO 2025 – international student conference at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Conference is organized annually by OPTICA/SPIE student chapters from different European cities, and this year for 25th jubilee it came back to its birthplace – Wroclaw Tech. This year’s conference hosted great talks from prof. Clara Saraceno, Karen Volke-Sepulveda, Yazhou Wang, Grzegorz Soboń and more, what created great opportunity to network with established researchers from all over the world and broaden our horizons.

Michał Pietrzak and Jakub Jaworski attended the conference as speakers, with corresponding oral presentations: „Methods for generating few-cycle laser pulses in the near- and mid-infrared spectral bands” and „Carrier-envelope offset frequency stabilization in a Cr:ZnS mode-locked laser” during „Pulsed lasers” session on Tuesday (08.07.2025). Also Jakub and Karolina Suliga were part of the conference’s organizing committee, gaining experience in event organization and chairing the sessions.
